Dynamical Cobordism proposes that End-of-the-World objects, as required by the Cobordism Conjecture, correspond to spacetime singularities at finite spacetime distance, with the scalar curvature obeying the scaling relation (R \sim e^{\delta \phi}). In this talk, I will present a sharpened version of Dynamical Cobordism, in which the value of the critical exponent (\delta) plays a central role. I will argue that the cobordism structure of the theory, as encoded in its field content, determines an allowed range for this exponent: singularities within this range can be interpreted as genuine transitions to nothing, while those outside it signal a non-trivial cobordism charge incompatible with quantum gravity, requiring a modification of the theory. I will explain how this criterion can be quantified in a manner similar to the Gubser criteria for good singularities, and show that the allowed range is structure-dependent. In particular, adding new degrees of freedom, such as higher-form gauge fields, can change which singularities are admissible. I will illustrate this mechanism in massive type IIA string theory.
