M-theory on S1vS1 as Type 0A

I review a recently proposed exotic geometric M-theory dual for the weakly coupled Type 0A string as a compactification on a sub-Planckian $S^1\vee S^1$. Tachyon condensation of 0A theory corresponds to shrinking one of the two circles leading to the IIA superstring, providing also an F-theory description of the axio-dilaton and of the tachyon field of Type 0B.
