Several international train stations located downtown and three international airports (Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Beauvais) in the surrounding suburbs connect Paris to anywhere in the world.
The Pierre et Marie Curie campus is served by two subway lines (Station Jussieu, lines 7 et 10) and various bus lines. It is also close to stations of RER regional trains of various lines (A-D).
Finding your way in Paris is easy using either a generic map smartphone application/web site such as sncf-connect or via the official RATP website / application (Bonjour RATP) and transilien.com

Moving around Paris by public transport (bus, tram, metro)

Paper tickets are not on sale any more. Paper tickets bought in the past in principle continue to be accepted for travel over a transitional period in 2026 (although there are problems in some stations already), but can no longer be validated on tram line T1, and on several bus routes. The solutions for travel in Paris and Ile-de-France region that replace paper tickets are the Navigo Easy travel pass or buying/loading tickets on a smartphone.
Using a Navigo Easy travel pass
The convenient solution for occasional passengers is to buy and recharge a Navigo Easy travel pass (cost: 2 EUR). The pass can be loaded an unlimited number of times at ticket machines, or using a smart phone via the Bonjour RATP app. Passes last approximately 10 years and are not nominative, and can be shared with other passengers for other journeys (please note that a Navigo Easy travel pass containing several tickets cannot be used for several people making the same journey). They last approximately 10 years.
A Navigo Easy travel pass can be bought from any ticket machine at RER and metro stations, or from RATP station staff.
Important note: Paris <> Airports tickets cannot be loaded on passes that already contain Métro-Train-RER tickets. Use a separate pass, or purchase your Paris <> Aéroports ticket on your phone.
Using a smartphone
Tickets can be purchased directly on smart phones in the Bonjour RATP and Île-de-France Mobilités apps. Your smart phone is also your travel pass (tap in with your phone)
Instructions on how to purchase tickets on a smartphone are given here
